About Us

Our Mission: Maripoza Foundation offers substance abuse and chemsex treatment, intervention, and prevention education services to the HIV+ population.

More than half of new HIV transmissions occur when people are under the influence of a mind-altering substance. While treatment options exist for addiction, there are currently no targeted programs that treat both the physical and psychological impact for HIV+ addicts who seek recovery. As the nation’s first nonprofit dedicated to this cause, Maripoza intends to bridge this void by offering outreach, education and treatment to those who seek a solution.

The planned activities for Maripoza Foundation entail assisting HIV+ addicts enter into pre-screened residential drug/alcohol treatment facilities where they can detox, be taught new life coping skills to assist in their sobriety while receiving medical attention for HIV, STDs and/or any other sex/drug related illnesses.

Maripoza will provide financial assistance for our patients to enter 30-day treatment programs to treat co-occurring drug/alcohol and sexual addictions (i.e., “chemsex”). Medical treatment, lab testing and therapy will also be offered to qualified patients.

Maripoza Foundation has several volunteer / service opportunities available. For more information please go to Volunteer.
